Why I write these guides

I write Path & Roam under the pen name Mara Vale, bringing together route research, practical comparisons and clearly identified firsthand notes.

My current guides focus on Limerick: walking around the city, arriving from Shannon Airport and working out which day trips make sense without a car. I explain what comes from research and what comes from confirmed firsthand observations, without turning the pen name into an invented travel biography.
